Dr. Ira Goldberg is seeking a student to work as a research technician and editor in his laboratory. The Goldberg Lab focuses on abnormalities of lipoprotein metabolism, macrovascular disease in diabetes, and the role of triglycerides in atherosclerosis.
Editing journal manuscripts, grant proposals, IRB documents, and other lab documents
Editing PowerPoint presentations and creating figures
Performing lab duties including qPCR, PCR cloning, genotyping, lipid assays, DNA synthesis, and mouse work (if comfortable)
Coordinating departmental events such as Grand Rounds, research seminars, journal clubs, and guest lectures
Excellent writing and editing skills
Strong computer and data organization skills
Experience working in MS PowerPoint, Excel, and Word; experience in GraphpadPrism a plus
Time Commitment: Full-time, with a minimum commitment of one year
