Columbia University Medical Center Clinical Psychology Research Assistant

Position Description: New York-Presbyterian/ Columbia University Medical Center is seeking a student to volunteer as a research assistant in a grant-funded community-based preventative intervention mental health program in upper Manhattan schools. This position does not involve clinical work. However, interested students will have opportunities to participate in child psychotherapy groups upon completion of research responsibilities.
Responsibilities include:
Assisting with data collection, entry, and analysis
Aiding in tasks associated with preparing the intervention
Assisting with teacher trainings and parent workshops
Collaborating with clinical researchers, preparing internal presentations, and writing for academia
Position Requirements:
Interest in pursuing a career in clinical psychology
Interest or experience in working with underserved children and schools
Ability to speak Spanish preferred
Time Commitment: Part-time (10 hours per week), with mandatory attendance at a Wednesday morning lab meetings. A one year time commitment preferred.
