Position Description Dr. Kevin Sheth is seeking research associates to join his neurovascular group as clinical research assistants. The research associate will work directly with critically ill patients at the Yale New Haven Hospital Neuroscience Critical Care Unit. This position will provide the opportunity to conduct research, manage the Yale Acute Brain Injury Biorepository, and coordinate clinical trials in stroke and intracerebral hemorrhage, as well as to attend department conferences, lectures, and rounds.
Responsibilities include:
Coordinating stroke and neurocritical care clinical trials
Taking on-call shifts for clinical trial enrollment
Developing research tools
Maintaining regulatory documents and databases
Screening and consenting patients
Collecting biosamples
Performing neurologic assessments and collecting outcomes data via telephone interviews
Data collection and analysis
Position Requirements
Interest in the neurosciences
Exhibit skills in databases and analyses
Strong academic record
Time Commitment Full-time, with a minimum commitment of one or two years
