Organization Mount Sinai Hospital Delirium Program
Position Description The Hospital Delirium Program is seeking volunteers to join their innovative healthcare improvement initiative team. Volunteers act as an integral part of the Delirium team, providing targeted interventions as part of the multi-component treatment intervention for geriatric inpatients with delirium and subsyndromal delirium.
Responsibilities include:
Working with acutely hospitalized geriatric patients
Working with medical and surgical inpatients
Receiving ongoing supervision from two highly experienced clinicians
Interfacing with medical and surgical teams involved in patients' care
Position Requirements
Students pursuing medical, clinical, mental health, and research careers
Time Commitment Part-time, 100 hours over six months (four consecutive hours per week), Mon.-Fri. 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Summer: 120 hours over eight weeks (15 hours per week)
