Position Description The Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) and Weill Cornell Medical College is seeking a student to work as a research assistant in Dr. Baohong Zhao's research laboratory. Dr. Zhao's laboratory uses cutting edge molecular and cell biology approaches as well as genetic mouse models to study osteoclast differentiation and define signaling pathways and epigenetic mechanisms important for regulating inflammatory bone destruction, which is a major cause of morbidity and disability in many arthritic diseases.
Responsibilities include:
Participating in basic biomedical research projects in osteoclast differentiation, bone biology/inflammation (osteoimmunology), and autoimmune diseases.
Position Requirements
Bachelor's degree in biology, biochemistry, or molecular and cell biology a plus Experience in relevant laboratory research a plus
Time Commitment Full-time, with a two year commitment
Compensation: TBD
