Position Description: Dr. Yelena Akelina is seeking students to serve as a teaching and research assistants for a training course in microsurgery. The course teaches basic microvascular procedures, emphasizing vascular anastomoses, interpositional vein grafts, and nerve repairs on rat models. Regulatory and skills training from CUMC will be provided before the beginning of the internship. Volunteers will be able to participate in the Basic Microsurgery course during the internship.
Position Requirements
Applicant must be in their Glide Year
Must be willing to work weekdays and weekends
Time Commitment Part-time to full-time, subject to the research project (with a minimum commitment of one year)
