Position Description Dr. Peter Chien is seeking a student to work as a dermatologic medical assistant.

Responsibilities include:

• Interviewing patients concerning their visit

• Following up on lab tests and prescriptions

• Setting up biopsies and assisting in minor skin surgeries and laser procedures

• Answering and triaging phone calls

• Scheduling appointments

• Checking in patients

• Verifying insurance

Position Requirements

• Hard working

• Detail oriented

• Conscientious about patient care

Time commitment Part-time; 8 hours per week on Saturdays, with a minimum commitment of 6 months.

Compensation $12-14 per hour (initial training period of 80 hours is volunteer).
