Organization Lumos Dermatology
Position Description Lumos Dermatology is seeking a part-time medical assistant who can commit to at least one year.
Responsibilities include:
Interviewing patients concerning their visit
Following up on lab tests and prescriptions
Setting up biopsies
Assisting in minor skin surgeries and laser procedures
Answering and triaging phone calls
Scheduling appointments
Checking in patients
Verifying insurance
Time Commitment 20 hours per week on Mondays and Saturdays, some Fridays, with a 1-year commitment
Compensation The initial training period is volunteer/course credit up to 80 hours and thereafter is course credit and paid $15 an hour.
