Full-Time Paid Neuroscience Lab Technician

Taub Institute for Research on Alzheimer's Disease and the Aging Brain Position Description Dr. Carol Troy is seeking a student to work as a lab technician. Dr. Troy's research is focused on the molecular mechanisms of neuronal death. The technician will be working on a variety of projects in the lab with postdoctoral scientists and graduate students.
Responsibilities include:
• Working with mice (mouse husbandry, colony maintenance, genotyping, and animal models of disease)
• Using imaging techniques such as confocal microscopy
• Analyzing image data (both confocal and live imaging)
Position Requirements:
Bachelors degree in biology, chemistry, or physics Experience in a research lab, preferrably a neuroscience lab Experience working with mice, a plus Experience in confocal microscopy and live imaging techniques, a plus
