Dr. Ira Goldberg is seeking a student to work as a research technician. The Goldberg Lab focuses on abnormalities of lipoprotein metabolism macrovascular disease in diabetes, and the role of triglycerides in atherosclerosis.
Editing journal manuscripts, grant proposals, IRB documents, and other lab documents
Editing PowerPoint presentations
Performing lab work including running qPCRs, PCR cloning, genotyping, performing lipid assays, DNA synthesis, and mouse work (if comfortable)
Coordinating departmental events such as Grand Rounds, research seminars, and guest lectures
Excellent writing and editing skills
Strong computer and data organization skills
Experience working in MS PowerPoint and Word; experience in GraphpadPrism a plus
Full-time, with a minimum commitment of two years.
