Position Description
The Albert Einstein College of Medicine is seeking a student to work as a study coordinator. The applicant will have the opportunity to support and assist the doctor in the daily operation of all critical care studies and clinical trials in sepsis, acute lung injury, and other critical illnesses.
Responsibilities include:
Educating and training ICU staff on the division's studies and protocols
Setting up mechanisms for identifying eligible patients and their surrogates
Overseeing performance of subject interviews, consent, and recruitment
Initiating, managing, and coordinating several observational research studies and clinical trials
Overseeing sample collection and processing as well as training of research and clinical staff
Monitoring and reporting research compliance and adverse events
Collecting and entering data
Position Requirements
Must have a bachelor's degree and medical work experience
Ability to speak Spanish a plus
Time Commitment Full-time; shifts will be rotated between 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., 11 a.m. - 7 p.m., and 2 - 10 p.m.
Compensation $40K - 45K per year plus full benefits
