Position Description:

The Depression and Anxiety Center for Discovery and Treatment (DAC) is seeking a student to work as a research coordinator. The DAC is dedicated to the study and treatment of depression, anxiety and related disorders including bipolar disorder and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The Center's research focuses on discovering the biological causes of these disorders in humans in order to develop new, more effective treatments. The research coordinator will have opportunities to publish in major medical journals, to present posters at national meetings, and to network with distinguished individuals in the fields of medicine and psychology.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Running experimental procedures with subjects

  • Entering and analyzing data

  • Conducting phone screens with potential subjects

  • Studying development paperwork

  • Preparing presentations and publications

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Biology, neuroscience, or psychology major (or other relevant field of study)

  • GPA of 3.5 or higher

  • Experience working with patients in a clinical/medical setting

  • Strong background in psychology, psychiatry, or neuroscience, as well as statistics and/or laboratory sciences

  • "Behavioral Neuroscience," "Introduction to Psychology," "Abnormal Psychology," and "Statistics" coursework preferred

  • Familiarity with computer software such as SPSS, Microsoft Excel, and REDCap

Time Commitment: Full-time, with a minimum commitment of two years

Compensation: TBD
