Position Description The Montefiore Medical Center is seeking a student to work as a Study Coordinator.
Responsibilities include:
Supporting and assisting the MD in administering and monitoring and daily operation of all critical care research projects
Educating and training ICU staff on the division's studies, protocol and importance
Setting up mechanisms for identifying elegible patients and their surrogates
Overseeing the performance of subject interviews, consent and recruitment
Managing and coordinating several observational research studies and clinical trials in sepsis, acute lung illnesses and other critical illnesses
Monitoring/reporting of research compliance and adverse events
Collecting and entering data
Position Requirements
Must have a bachelors degree, and 2-3 years of related experience
Must be computer literate and competent, especially with Outlook, internet search, MS Excel and Word
Must have experience with electronic Data Entry and Retrieval systems
Must be flexible with hours as needed for the study
Must be able to do some moderate travel for site visits and training in multicenter studies
Clinical research experience a plus
Bilingual in Spanish a plus
Time Commitment Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Shift will vary between day and evening shifts (9 a.m. to 5 p.m., 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., 2 - 10 p.m.)
Compensation
$45,000 annual salary plus benefits
